Silicone rubber has excellent resistance to temperature extremes. Temperatures as high as 200°C have little effect on the physical properties of this elastomer. However it does have poor tensile strength, tear, abrasion and steam resistance. It has very good resistance to sunlight, ozone, oxygen, gases and possesses good electrical insulation properties, water repellence and non adhesiveness. Temperature range -60°C to +230°C
